sparklimg water, chilled150 mls
apple juice (no-added sugar)100 mls
low-fat plain Chobani yoghurt or soy yogurt, (optional)2 tbsp
ice cubes cup
cinnamon, ground tsp
protein powder, vanilla1 scoop (30g)
ginger, fresh, grated tsp
flaxseed meal1 tsp

  1. Place all ingredients into a blender, except the sparkling water (*refer to tip below) Process on high to blend.

  2. Remove lid, add sparkling water, pulse blend until smooth

  3. Pour into a chilled glass, garnish with cinnamon and serve.

  4. TCB tips:

    - Adding sparkling water after blending the bulk of the ingredients, is essential. It helps minimize the pressure from the carbon dioxide when the blades spin. Make sure to place your hand firmly on the blender when blending.

    - You can substitute Granny Smith apples with other apple varieties of choice - Red Delicious, Pink Lady, Fuji etc.

    - To make this vegan-friendly, substitute dairy products with soy or other plant-based alternatives.
